Health authorities reported Friday 1,762 hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 in Quebec, a drop of 57 from the previous day. Among these, 44 patients are in intensive care, four less.
Quebec also reports eight additional deaths from the disease, including only one in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health officially registers 535 new cases of COVID-19. The daily number of infections is probably underestimated since the screening centers are reserved for priority groups.
A total of 2,205 healthcare workers are not at work for reasons related to the disease (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.).
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,297,943 infections have been reported, and 17,854 of them have been fatal.
