The Alpine Skiing World Cup is underway on Thursday, December 2, with the first Super-G of the season on the program in Beaver Creek (United States). This event has been added to the calendar to make up for the cancellation of the Lake Louise Super-G last weekend. There will therefore be two races in quick succession in this category for skiers, with the one of the day and another Friday, before moving on to two descents on Saturday and Sunday.
Only 14th in the general classification, the French Alexis Pinturault has the opportunity to collect points in Colorado, in a discipline which may suit him (mbronze medalist at the last World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, winner of the super-G globe in 2014). The Swiss Marco Odermatt, already winner of the Sölden giant in October, can for his part consolidate his position as leader in the general classification (150 points) in the event of a good performance.
