In this tense climate on geopolitical, health and economic themes, the French expressed themselves on the image and expectations they had of Europe.
According to a barometer carried out by Viavoice with a sample of 2,000 people, between November 10 and 17, 63% of respondents want France to stay within the European Union (EU). If the French adhere to EU, it is surely because according to 58%, Europe makes it possible to preserve peace. One in two French people think that Europe represents an opportunity at the economic level.
One month before the EU Presidency, 73% of the French want a policy energetic common and efficient. 68% are in favor of a carbon tax at the borders of Europe. At last, 47% of our fellow citizens are in favor of the creation of a European army. Regarding the health crisis, 51% of French people believe that the European Union has not lived up to the coronavirus crisis.
