(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in mixed order on Friday, the NASDAQ remaining supported by the good results of Netflix while job cuts at Google were welcomed by investors.
The Dow Jones index, which had started narrowly in the green, yielded 0.12% a few minutes after the opening while the NASDAQ gained 0.54% and the S&P 500 0.23%. On Thursday, the Dow Jones index had lost 0.76% to 33,044.56 points, as had the broader S&P 500 index at 3,898.85 points, while the tech-heavy NASDAQ had dropped 0.96% to 10 852.27 points.
