The International Chopin Piano Competition takes place every four years in Warsaw (Poland). This year, the first prize was awarded to the Chinese-Canadian pianist Bruce Xiaoyu Liu. In 1985, Jean-Marc Luisada, French pianist, also won first prize in this competition. “He was one of the very few French people to be a winner of this prestigious competition, explains journalist Michel Mompontet, present on the 23 Hours set, Friday October 22. He released an absolutely sublime record on Schubert, Schubert of youth and Schubert of the last moments.“
Other major release: a box set bringing together blues songs sung by the American Nina Simone. “It is a compilation of Frémeaux et Associés, 1959-1962, says Michel Mompontet.
