“For this new edition of the Prix collégial du cinéma québécois, our organizing committee has once again outdone itself by recruiting 54 participating CEGEPs. For its part, our selection committee had the difficult task of selecting five feature films from the very wide variety of films of the year 2022, underlined the sponsor of the event, Micheline Lanctôt. Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of an ever-motivated teaching body, we will have a magnificent 2023 edition, finally free of the virus. »

The other two feature films in the running are A summer like this by Denis Cote and viking by Stephane Lafleur. As for short films, the jury chose films by Maxime Robin (The left hand), Emilie Mannering (To life to love), Marie-Josee Saint-Pierre (The Lauzon theory), Justine Martin (Oasis) and Aziz Zoromba (Simo).

CEGEP students from some fifty institutions will now watch the selected works and discuss them. The winners of the two categories will be chosen after pan-Quebec deliberations and announced on the 1er april.

Micheline Lanctôt has acted as sponsor of the event since the beginning of the competition, which is in its 12e year.
