The columnist of To have to Emilie Nicolas is one of the finalists for the seventh edition of the Gala Dynastie, which aims to reward personalities from black communities in Quebec who stand out in the media or arts and culture.
In addition to Emilie Nicolas, who works for The duty since 2019, four other finalists have been up for the Opinion Writer of the Year category. They are Kharoll-Ann Souffrant, who is notably a columnist for Noovo Info, the former president of the Commission for Human Rights and Youth Rights, Tamara Thermitus, as well as Martine St-Victor (Montreal Gazette) and Anne-Lovely Étienne (24 hours).
Several other prizes will be awarded to journalists and columnists as part of a gala evening for media artisans to be held on March 30 at Place des Arts. A second evening, this time intended for personalities in the fields of culture and the arts, will then take place on April 1, at the Théâtre Maisonneuve.
