“When it falls, the tree makes two holes. The one in the sky is the biggest. – Felix Leclerc
It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Harvey Mead, whose contribution to the preservation of the environment remains invaluable as it was the commitment of a lifetime. A leading actor and thinker, he followed with interest the discussions of heterodox economists such as those of the Biophysical Economics Institute, thus following in the footsteps of Georgescu-Røgen. His blog (Harvey Mead | Reflections on Development Issues) deserves to be revisited, but above all, I can only recommend reading his latest book, Too late. The end of a world and the start of a newpublished by Écosociété.
To his family and friends, I offer my deepest condolences.
