Ink will have its North American premiere at Usine C.

We keep an indelible memory of The Great Tamerwhich completely stunned and mesmerized us when it was presented at Usine C in 2019. Greek artist Dimitris Papaioannou then returned to present the six-hour video projection Inside at the same place the following year. The one who is recognized for his striking aesthetic will undoubtedly mark the spirits again with Inka cruel and fascinating duo performed by Papaioannou and Šuka Horn, which explores the boundaries of reality, flirting with science fiction and horror.

From 1er to March 4, at Factory C

Mountains Are Mountainsnew creation by Dana Gingras

The brilliant Dana Gingras returns with a new work entitled Mountains Are Mountains. True to form, the choreographer should surprise and confuse us, in this piece where two pairs of performers are united in the obsessive and enigmatic ascent of a mountain, in search of the future, in an unattainable quest. – of the future. Live music and poetic video accompany this piece with metaphysical echoes that reminds us that the truth is nowhere else but here and now.

Created by Andrew Skeels, Requiem will be presented as a world premiere.

This new double program offered at the opening of the season by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens promises to be quite exceptional, carried by the company’s choir and orchestra. We will finally be able to see in world premiere Requiem, by choreographer Andrew Skeels, whose presentation in February 2022 had to be cancelled. A former dancer with Les Grands Ballets now at the head of his company Skeels Danse, the choreographer was inspired by the solemn beauty of german requiem of Brahms in a poignant and meditative work exploring the depth of human connections and the traces left by those who leave us.
