(Wengen) The Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, already winner the day before the super-G, succeeded in a demonstration on the World Cup downhill in Wengen (Switzerland) on Saturday in front of his rival Marco Odermatt.
Kilde, who had already triumphed on the downhill in 2022, pushed back the Swiss world No.1 to 88/100 and the Italian Mattia Casse to 1 sec 01/100.
For his last appearance at Wengen, one of the great classics of the circuit, the Swiss hero Beat Feuz (35 years old) took the 5e place at 1 sec 25/100 just ahead of the surprising Austrian technician Marco Schwarz, sixth in the first descent of his life on the world circuit.
Marco Odermatt remains well ahead of the overall World Cup standings, 340 points ahead of Kilde.
