Hawks 113 – Pacers 111 | Pacers lose despite Bennedict Mathurin’s 26 points

(Indianapolis) Bennedict Mathurin had 26 points, but the Pacers were beaten at the very end by Atlanta on Friday as the Hawks won 113-111 at Indiana.


John Colllins converted an offensive rebound after a missed shot from Dejounte Murray, with seven tenths of a second on the clock.

Montrealer Mathurin signed a 17e match of 20 or more points.

The sixth pick in the draft last year added five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

The Quebecer was the most used player for the Pacers, with 39 minutes.

Myles Turner (back) wasn’t playing for Indiana, which is also missing out on NBA assists leader Tyrese Haliburton. He is injured in the knee and elbow.

The Hawks’ Trae Young had 26 points, one more than De’Andre Hunter.

Young hit the target six of 10 from three-point range, Hunter six of nine.

The Pacers will host Memphis on Saturday night. The Hawks will then be the visitors to Toronto.
