(Washington) US consumer confidence continued its momentum in January, well above the level expected by analysts, after an increase already observed in December, according to the preliminary estimate from the University of Michigan published on Friday.


The index stood at 64.6 points, down from 59.7 points in November, when analysts had expected a modest rise to 60.5 points, according to the published consensus from briefing.com.
