Popular and consecrated artist in the 80s and 90s, Michel Leeb was not necessarily very spoiled on a personal level. There is in particular this terrible cancer which struck his daughter Fanny. In 2018, the actor’s daughter took to her social networks to announce the bad news. Cancer “says ‘triple negative’, very aggressive”with a “very fast proliferation rate”, she explained. On December 12, his dad gave reassuring information about his state of health to Télé Loisirs: “It wasn’t easy but she’s doing amazingly well. She’s in total remission.”
Fortunately for him, Michel Leeb can also count on the beautiful gifts that life offers him, like his granddaughter Gaia. “Seeing Gaia as a child, her wonder at Christmas gifts, takes me back 35 years“, he says in the columns of Gala, this week on newsstands. Before explaining: “I have an incredible childhood nostalgia. Not mine, but my children’s, and I enjoy reliving those moments through my granddaughter.“.
Because if there is a period that has traumatized the comedian, it is that which relates to childhood. Michel Leeb admits to having suffered enormously from the divorce of his parents. A pain that the actor has managed to overcome thanks to the support of his wife Béatrice who has shared his life for 41 years now. “I suffered from the separation of my parents. With my sister, we were sent to boarding school, we felt left out of the family unit“, laments the father of Tom Leeb. “So when I was able to build a family, I wanted it to be strong, united. My family is an unassailable fortress. And when it’s not going well, it’s a refuge“, he specifies.
For fans of Michel Leeb, know that the actor will be back on stage at the Théâtre des Nouveaux from Thursday, January 19 with the actor and friend Francis Huster.
