The Kraken blanks the Bruins 3-0

Martin Jones was perfect on 27 shots and the Seattle Kraken shut out the Boston Bruins 3-0 on Thursday night.

Jones’ third shutout helped the Kraken to their seventh straight win, which tied a club record. The Seattle squad also inflicted the Bruins’ first regulation-time loss at home this season.

Brandon Tanev, Eeli Tolvanen and Jaden Schwartz moved the ropes for the Kraken, who had gone on a seven-game winning streak earlier this season.

Jones stopped David Pastrnak on a breakaway in the second period to deny the Bruins’ best scoring opportunity.

Linus Ullmark made 28 saves for the Boston squad, which had won its last four outings. She was 19-0-3 at TD Garden this season.

The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Tanev redirected a snap into the net from Daniel Sprong. Tolvanen doubled Kraken’s lead in the second period.
