After seeing the Florida Everblades score four unanswered goals to take a 4-1 lead, the Trois-Rivières Lions could have given up. However, they decided to show character, which allowed them to go up the slope to finally win 5 to 4. This is the fourth consecutive victory for the Trifluviens.
Eager to demonstrate that they were not in Florida to play tourists, the Lions quickly opened the scoring in this meeting. On a two-on-one descent, forward Justin Ducharme was able to beat goalkeeper Parker Gahagen with a good wrist shot. This advance did not last even a minute, however. On the streak leading to the first net of the Floridians, the cerberus Philippe Desrosiers seemed weak by allowing a goal to the defender Kody McDonald, he who had sent the puck in his direction of his own blue line.
