A young adult was shot in a residential sector of Laval on Friday evening. He is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This attempted murder could be linked to “street gangs”, indicates Lieutenant Goulet, of the Laval police department.
The event occurred in the middle of the night from Friday to Saturday, around 1 a.m., on the 20e Laval Ave. This is a small residential street lined with single-storey residences, located in Laval-Ouest.
At the scene, the police found a young adult man with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body.
He was transported to a hospital center and his life would still not be in danger, assures Lieutenant Goulet.
Saturday morning, a scene is still in place and a command post has been established, he said. An investigation by the crimes against the person division was opened, but no arrests had been made in the morning in connection with this case.
