American League | The Rocket beats the Crunch once again

(Laval) Rem Pitlick had a goal and an assist as the Laval Rocket defeated the Syracuse Crunch 5-1 Friday night in an American Hockey League game.

Pitlick provided a two-goal cushion for his team in the third period when he took advantage of the power play to score his third goal of the season.

A little less than three minutes later, still on the manpower, Alex Belzile fired a powerful shot into the top corner to allow the Rocket (12-15-4) to increase their lead.

Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Joël Teasdale and Olivier Galipeau, in an empty net, also flashed the red light for the Rocket, who had defeated the Crunch on Wednesday.

Kevin Poulin ended his night at work with 21 saves for the Montreal Canadiens’ school club. He even tried to add a goal to his record late in the game, but his long shot went to the left of the opposing net.

Declan Carlile scored the lone Crunch goal (13-11-4), which saw his opponents take control of the game in the second period.

Jack LaFontaine gave up four times on 27 shots for the Tampa Bay Lightning farm club.
