April 13 | The owner of the Lachenaie landfill site in Terrebonne, Complexe Enviro Connexions, took steps with Quebec in the spring to increase its waste capacity. Perched on a mound of scrap, Valérian Mazataud was able to “get this bird’s eye view of the extent of our waste production” by taking a path that bypassed the dump, he explains. The photographer has always wanted to reduce his own waste production. This photo has “convinced him even more”, he says, even if it turns out “a little hopeless at the same time, because one is very tiny in the face of such a quantity”. Valerian Mazataud Le Devoir
