First one-man Band for his first album Back to the Roots in 2012, then in duet (Shotgun Wedding in 2014) with drummer Geoffroy Sourp, and finally in trio with bassist Adam Lanfrey (What’s Flowin ‘In My Veins in 2016, Tillandsia in 2018). The form of Dirty Deep has evolved a lot throughout its existence.
But if the sound has grown since the first album where Victor reigned as sole master on board over his blues roots, Dirty Deep has not lost its sound identity along the way. A characteristic Heavy-Blues, between edgy grunge and blues elements respectful of traditions. In six years of this trio, Dirty Deep has chained nearly 400 concerts in France and shared the stage with big names such as Santana, Johnny Hallyday, the Rival Sons or Jim Jones. They also scoured European theaters and traveled up the Mississippi, from juke to rock clubs.
In 2020, the trio disconnects for Foreshots, an acoustic album paying homage to their musical origins, recorded with talent and in period conditions by Rémi Gettliffe.

Today and to celebrate its ten years of existence, Dirty Deep is retrospecting its career with “A Wheel in the Grave”. Driven by a visceral need to return to human contact and space, Victor set out again on the road.
“A Wheel In the Grave” illustrates the group’s strong relationship with the road, inseparable from a music that they do not intend to stop playing in this life. The places visited reflect an approach that corresponds to the philosophy of Dirty Deep. This road trip is a way for them to export themselves by taking an interest in the activities of other cultural actors and artisans.
Upon their return, the band reunited to record six exclusive tracks. Covers of themes dear to the group and its identity, each one is interpreted with a guest who has played a leading role in the group’s career.
