Montreal North | A car burned Monday night

(Montreal) A car was damaged by fire late Monday evening in northeastern Montreal, and a few hours later, the origin of the fire remained impossible to establish by firefighters and police.

The fire was reported to the authorities around 11:50 p.m. by a call made to the 911 emergency telephone exchange. The car in flames was then parked at the intersection of avenue Alfred and rue Louis-Francœur, at near Charleroi Park, in the Montreal-North borough.

An initial examination of the automobile did not reveal any incendiary objects or traces of accelerant. No one was hurt.

The vehicle was towed. The investigation into this fire was entrusted to the SPVM arson squad.
