Her father, with whom she has been at odds for a long time, comes to celebrate the end of year celebrations with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. A complete Christmas with the family! Better, his mother will also be there. Although divorced, the parents of the reality TV star decided, a long time ago, to bury the hatchet. Which makes the young woman of thirty years say: “With divorced parents, it’s a grandpa there, a grandma there. Well the main thing is to have them, there are some who don’t have them at all. So I’m not going to complain. But that’s to say that we are very lucky, we are very happy. And I believe – I’m not going to cry it’s 11 o’clock – I believe that if it happens, it’s the best Christmas present. Well, it will be my best Christmas present to have my two parents together”. And, in another story, Nabilla films the reunion and seems to be the happiest in the world. Aaaaaah… the magic of Christmas!
“Glitter, stuff, it’s not my thing”
It was however not won in advance! We remember that her father Kouthir Benattia, an eminent UN official, had made no secret of being “ashamed” of his daughter. In 2013, he even told Canal+ that he was rejected for reality TV, that his daughter had “not invented powder” and that she had become “a product of consumer society”. Fortunately, time had done its work, and father and daughter had been able to calmly mend and get closer. In particular in 2021, during her sumptuous wedding in Chantilly with Thomas Vergara, Nabilla had invited her dad who had not missed the call. At “Gala”, she then confided: “I was afraid that he would not come. It’s a very special relationship, him and me, it will always be a sensitive subject. My father doesn’t like TV, the media, exposure. It’s not his world. He’s Muslim and introverted. He works at the UN in Switzerland and is appreciated for his discretion. It’s from him that I get my humor. He arrived in France when he was 2 years old, and he is responsible for human resources, in charge of conflicts of interest. It is an integration model. I am very proud of him.” And a few months later, his dad was already flying to Dubai to find his famous daughter, whose success he seems proud of today!
