Quebec writer Marie-Claire Blais, winner of the Medici Prize for the novel A season in the life of Emmanuel, passed away at the age of 82.
“It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Marie-Claire Blais today, November 30, in Key West, where she had made her home for many years. We are wholeheartedly with the members of her family and her many friends, colleagues and admirers, here and abroad, ”said the Goodwin Agency which represented her, in a statement on Facebook Tuesday evening.
