Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that he wanted the conflict in Ukraine to end “as soon as possible”, after nearly ten months of intense fighting with the kyiv army.

“We will work to make sure this ends. And the sooner the better, of course,” the Kremlin leader told a press conference.
