It may be the resolution of a case almost 30 years old. A man was arrested Tuesday, November 30 in the Paris region and placed in police custody. He is suspected of having killed Nadège Desnoix, a 17-year-old teenager, in Aisne in 1994, Franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation, confirming information from the newspaper The Parisian.

It is a DNA comparison which is at the origin of this rebound and which allowed the investigators of the Central Office for the repression of violence against the persons (OCRVP) to identify the suspect. He is a man in his 50s, whose DNA was taken in the context of a recent case of violence.

Compared to the national DNA file, it then corresponds with a fingerprint present in the file and so far unknown. This DNA print was found at the crime scene in May 1994. Nadège Desnoix had been strangled and stabbed on a road in the town of Château-Thierry.

Since this murder, many avenues had been explored, including that of serial killer Michel Fourniret, but never succeeded. Today, the main suspect is this 50-year-old arrested in the Paris region, who will now have to explain why his DNA was found at the scene of the crime, 27 years ago.
