(Edmonton) The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Stuart Skinner to a three-year, $7.8 million contract extension.
The 24-year-old Edmonton native Skinner is 9-8-1 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .915 save percentage this season. Skinner has made at least 40 saves in three of his wins.
Skinner was selected in the third round, 78e overall, by the Oilers in the 2017 draft. In 33 NHL games, he has a 2.82 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage.
