(Calgary) TC Energy says cold weather ahead could slow the recovery of oil spilled from its Keystone pipeline leak in Kansas.
The company says it recovered about 7,233 barrels of oil from a creek as of 5 p.m. local time on Sunday.
The Keystone Pipeline suffered the worst leak in its history when about 14,000 barrels of oil spilled into a waterway in Washington County, Kansas on December 7.
The company says the affected segment of the pipeline remains isolated as investigation, recovery, repair and remediation efforts continue.
TC Energy last week restarted the section of the Keystone pipeline that had not been affected by the leak.
The section of the pipeline that is back in service extends from Hardisty, Alberta to Patoka, Illinois.
