Quebecers are keen to perpetuate the traditions of their family and particularly the recipes that are passed down from generation to generation, according to host actress Marina Orsini, who released a recipe book last October.
The author of the book “Gourmande! – My family recipes” claimed to have met several people who make books of recipes to keep and pass on.
“I want to give this taste to people and I feel that people do that a lot, perpetuate traditions”, she said at the microphone of Sophie Durocher, Wednesday.
Marina Orsini herself based her family’s recipes on her book, which tells of her Italian heritage at the heart of her relationship with food.
“Greediness is a whole, we are greedy of life in general, we love the world, we like to gather, we like to eat”, she explained, about her and that of her mother.
“It was a journey on so many levels, this book, it was a gift of life,” she also testified.
Unnecessary censorship of the “Daughters of Caleb”
Marina Orsini took advantage of her time on QUB radio to once again discuss the removal of the second episode of “Caleb’s Daughters” by Netflix, due to a character who colors his face black to play a Wise King in a show of Christmas.
“I think they should have just put a little card […] saying that this episode was shot [à une autre époque]“said the one who played the character of Émilie Bordeleau in the series.
“It’s still extraordinary not to want to forget that a Balthazar was black, so no matter how we do it, we don’t forget that, it’s in our memory and we have to remember that the Three Kings were of different cultures,” she added.
