The weather promises to be sunny for the start of the week, while the mercury will continue to drop for most of Quebec.
The sun will therefore be very present in the azure sky of Quebec, with however temporary clouds, sometimes dense, in particular in the east of the province, according to Environment Canada.
In Montreal, temperatures are expected to be -5°C under the sun, but it will be even colder in the western sectors of the province, notably in Outaouais and Abitibi.
The same weather scenario is to be expected for central Quebec with sunshine in the blue sky and mercury displaying -8°C on the thermometer in Quebec, Beauce and Estrie.
On the other hand, in eastern Quebec, things could go wrong, since snow could affect certain sectors, particularly in the Bas-Saint0Laurent and Gaspésie.
The federal agency has issued a special weather report for the areas of Matane, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts and the Magdalen Islands which will be shaken by strong winds.
Sunny weather should persist on Tuesday and in the south and center of the province, while dense clouds could bring a lesser snow cycle for Wednesday.
