At 44, Aurélie Saada has just released a new album called “Bomboloni”. To ensure the promotion of this new opus, the artist gave several unpublished interviews to the media. She confided in the columns of the magazine Star TV, about the sexual violence she suffered when she was only 4 years old.
This Thursday, December 8, 2022, Aurélie Saada was on the set of the show “It starts today” and spoke about this trauma mentioned in the song “The Beautiful Barn”. Faced with Faustine Bollaert, she explained in particular that she had a hard time telling everything to her mother who is nevertheless a psychoanalyst by profession: “One day I tried to talk about it, I remember perfectly… We were coming out of my grandmother’s house, we were waiting for the elevator and I said to myself: ‘I’m going to tell them, because really, I’m actually fed up with what’s happening to me'” she remembered.
“I remember looking at my parents, trying to pluck up my courage, to say, ‘There’s a boy putting his hand in my…’ […] What do you say when you’re that age? she said while emphasizing that she was only 4 years old at the material time.
“I tried. I remember, I said, ‘Dad, mom, I have to tell you. At school, there is someone who is bothering me’, and I saw my mother say to me, ‘Oh, honey…’ […] and I felt that she didn’t appreciate at all the seriousness that I put into ‘annoys me'”, she said. If she did not want to “annihilate her mother”, the singer found the courage to make clear confidences about the attacks suffered, several years later.
