33 years ago today, Marc Lépine fired point-blank range at 28 people with a legally obtained rifle, killing 14 women in cold blood. Three decades later, Operation CENTAUR continues the arrests. A seizure of 33 firearms took place on November 10 in Portneuf, a suburb of Quebec. At the same time, the arrest of several traffickers possessing weapons as heterogeneous as a Beretta semi-automatic pistol or a CZ Scorpion EVO carbine often used in mass killings was carried out last summer by investigators from the Sûreté du Québec on the South Shore.
