(Doha) Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo will start the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup against Switzerland on the bench on Tuesday at the Lusail Stadium, according to the composition of the teams announced before the match.
The player had started all three group games with Portugal, scoring a goal on the first day against Ghana (3-2) which made him the first player to score in five different editions of the World Cup, but his angry reaction during his replacement against South Korea (1-2) in the 65e minute, had not been appreciated by coach Fernandos Santos.
