Right in his boots, his widow respected his last wishes, and had a family vault erected for him, in the cemetery of Lorient, in Saint Barthélémy.

In January 2020, when it was a question of moving her remains, Laeticia Hallyday had come up against her daughter-in-law, Laura Smet, still at war for her share of the Hallyday inheritance, who had not admitted not to be consulted for this major decision. In a message shared today on Instagram, the mother of Jade and Joy, who made the trip for the occasion, explained to the one who shared his life for more than 20 years: “Tonight at the Lorient cemetery with your fans who are there for you, we will look at the sky, there will be a star that will shine more than the others… because you are never far away, you watch, you protect us. We love you forever.”
