Very fit, Jean-Michel Maire returned this Saturday, December 3 with the set of “TPMP” for the release of his autobiography “Memoirs of a happy loser”, available on Amazon. A collection full of anecdotes little known to the general public about this journalist who was a war reporter and who had a life marked by the galleys, the failures which, according to him, are due to his “laziness”. Unlike his children whom they consider to be brilliant and “straight”, unlike him! For the occasion, Matthieu Delormeau did not fail to point out that he had devoured the work of his sidekick in one evening, and that it was full of crisp anecdotes. Like this time when Jean-Michel Maire refused to pocket the most tidy sum of… 700,000 euros! “You swear it’s true?!” asks the facilitator. “Yes, everything is true” affirms the author. “I did other bullshit why not one more at 700,000”
Jean-Michel Maire replies: “700,000 euros, yes, to sleep with his wife, yes, but he was not watching… he was participating. Above all, he participated!” Curious, the host questions him: “What was it? Following a TPMP, a guy calls you ??” “Yes, of course I was contacted by an agent…” “Ah, did this guy have an agent?” the cut Matthieu “Yes, they are very rich… when you offer 700,000 euros for a weekend, it was in the south of France, you still have the means. I was his wife’s fantasy, suddenly … we did not discuss the price, I was in! A weekend in the south at 700,000 euros… I saw the photo of the woman who was quite lovely… I said to myself ‘I’ve done other bullshit why not one more at 700,000, it’s worth the shot’ and then I quickly learned that I was Madame’s fantasy but also Monsieur’s fantasy!” The host questions him: “And that’s what blocked you because you said no.” Jean-Michel replies cash: “I said no”, “It was the gentleman who blocked you!” “Yes, well yes…” cut by Benoit Dubois who launches a humorous: “Myself the woman, at 700,000 I go!” and facing the camera: “Madame, if you are listening to me” under general laughter. Delormeau goes on to joke: “Me, at 700,000, you put everyone on me, Danielle Moreau, you put me on everything you want, you send me everything!” Jean-Michel regains his seriousness: “But money has never been a driving force in my life… it was just for sex…” “Tell me, have you ever regretted that?” “I often thought about it because every time I tell this story, everyone says to me ‘You should have done it’, nobody says to me ‘you were right’.” An anecdote that will have amused the gallery of chroniclers and left Benoit and Matthieu dreaming… who, we will have understood, are takers!
