Lamborghini has chosen Miami Beach and the Art Basel event to proceed with the official unveiling of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, the new off-road type variant of the range.
Powered by the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces 602 horsepower, the Sterrato features raised ground clearance, skid plates, a roof air intake, rally-style headlights mounted on its front cover, and it rolls on Bridgestone Dueler tires!
A sport for madmax…
The Huracán is already striking, but the Sterrato is even more so. The name ‘Sterrato’ means ‘dirt road’ in Italian, and that’s why the Huracán has undergone a radical transformation to become an exotic car capable of driving on surfaces other than asphalt.

The idea of designing an off-road version of the Huracán arose while engineers were proceeding with the development of the brand’s Urus SUV. During tests carried out in off-road driving, they wondered if it would be possible to create a sports car capable of driving in similar conditions. Now this questioning has become a car in its own right. Basically, the Sterrato is a Huracán EVO that has undergone several modifications.
Present at the launch of the Sterrato, The Car Guide was able to speak with Mitja Borkert, head of design at Lamborghini.
