(Montreal) Tackler Almondo Sewell has signed a new two-year contract with the Montreal Alouettes.
The team made the announcement on Friday.
The six-foot, 288-pound American had three sacks and 19 tackles in 16 games with the team in 2022. He also had four tackles and two sacks in the Montreal team’s two playoff games.
The 35-year-old athlete joined the Alouettes in 2021 after nine seasons in Edmonton. In 169 games on the Canadian Tour, the 35-year-old veteran has amassed 320 tackles and 68 sacks.
Sewell won the Gray Cup in 2015 and was named a CFL All-Star six times.
