Montreal | Gunshots heard in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension

Gunshots were heard on Friday afternoon near an elementary school in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough. Two young men were arrested by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

Gunshots were heard around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, at the corner of Saint-Roch and Terrasse Saint-Roch streets, in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough, confirms the SPVM spokesperson, Julien Lévesque.

When the police arrived on the scene, they located “no casing, no projectile impact, no victim and no injured person”, he specifies.

The authorities, however, arrested two young men, aged 18 and 17, who were near the scene. The suspects were immediately taken to the police station for investigators to determine their involvement in the incident.

A security perimeter was still in place late Friday evening to carry out the analysis of the premises.
