NFL | Cowboys defeat Giants 28-20

(Arlington) Dak Prescott threw two touchdowns to tight end Dalton Schultz, Ezekiel Elliott scored a major with a run and the Dallas Cowboys edged the New York Giants 28-20 on Thursday at a Thanksgiving game.

Rookie Peyton Hendershot got a touchdown after a two-yard run for the Cowboys. He then led the other tight ends into a pot before celebrating by imitating the mole game. That touchdown gave the Cowboys a 28-13 lead.

“The mole game was great,” Prescott said. The guys told me about it earlier this week. They were afraid of having a fine or a penalty. We told them, ‘Make sure you have two touchdowns up. We have a few guys who can help with the fine. So go ahead.” »

The win ended a three-game holiday losing streak for the Cowboys (8-3), who edged the Giants to the top of the Nationals East Division. They also swept the series.

Prescott’s touchdown passes to Schultz came about five minutes apart in the third quarter, turning a 13-7 deficit into a 21-13 lead. The first was a 15-yard throw-in on third down and the end zone.

The Cowboys quarterback has 10 straight wins over the Giants since losing to them twice in his rookie season in 2016.

Saquon Barkley was limited to 39 rushing yards and a one-yard touchdown. The Giants offensive line (7-4) was without three starters and suffered a third loss in its last four games.

The Cowboys had three sacks on Daniel Jones while limiting him to 14 rushing yards. He had seven first games in the first meeting between the two clubs, a 23-16 victory for the Cowboys.

Jones’ touchdown pass to Richie James in the final seconds came too late for the Giants to complete the comeback.

CeeDee Lamb caught six passes for 106 yards and set up three touchdowns for the Cowboys, starting with a 25-yard catch before Elliott’s six-yard run.
