After Price or Halak, have we returned to the point where the identity of the number 1 goalkeeper of the Canadian is the subject of debate? Our guests Richard Labbé, Guillaume Lefrançois and Antoine Roussel raise the question, which is obviously not easy to manage, knowing that Jake Allen is a veteran respected by his teammates. But Samuel Montembeault’s performances have been superior so far this season.
This is just one of the personnel issues Martin St-Louis has to deal with. In defence, there are only six spots for his eight defenders, causing trouble for those trying to make their way. The lighting of Antoine Roussel, who experienced this situation at the start of his career in Dallas, is particularly interesting. Elsewhere in the NHL, Patrice Bergeron, Jakob Chychrun and the fans of the Devils hold the attention, without forgetting Borje Salming, a monument of hockey who has left us.

If we go on merit, and I think Martin St-Louis tends to do that a little bit, give the net a little more to Samuel Montembeault. As we speak, today, now, for me, Montembeault is number 1.
Richard Labbe

Guillaume Lefrançois, about Kaiden Guhle
