This is one of the oldest debates in the country. Should bullfighting continue to be allowed or not? Indeed, in the south of the country, these shows in which bulls and matadors “compete” in the arenas are among the oldest rituals in France, but also in Spain. A custom that no one wants to see disappear, except those who defend animals and their rights. Because yes, at the end of a bullfight, the beast is killed and it is above all what drives the opponents of this spectacle mad with rage.
This is why many associations are trying to put an end to it, and in particular PETA. The association can also count on the support of many personalities like Karine Ferri, who never hides her love for animals. Or David Hallyday. The son of the Taulier, who announced the imminent arrival of a duo, took the floor on Instagram this Thursday, November 17 to ask his community to act. However, Johnny’s son did not ask for an end to bullfighting, but to end the abuse of the bulls used for these “duels”.
For the protection of bulls
“In France, bulls suffer. Those used for bullfights are not used against mistreatment or torture. On the contrary, their suffering is made into a spectacle”, he announced, with a serious tone, in his Instagram story. Subsequently, he relayed a text from PETA which also asked Internet users to act.
“You can act to put an end to this despicable torture. French law prohibits serious abuse of animals everywhere”she explains first before continuing: “But an exception is provided for ten municipalities where bullfights take place. Put pressure on your deputies by politely explaining to them why they must vote in favor of the historic bill abolishing this cruel ritual”. Bullfighting, perhaps, but animal abuse is a big no!
