Harassed by students from her college establishment, the 14-year-old Dinah committed suicide. A drama that still revives the debate on bullying at school.
She was to celebrate her 15th birthday in a few weeks. On the night of October 4 to 5, Dina killed herself in her room. Yet she seemed to lead an ordinary existence in Kingersheim, Alsace. According to her family, she had been harassed by former college students for over two years. She was getting treated “pu * e, lesbian, dirty nerd, dirty race, dirty mestizo. In March, she made a first suicide attempt. The college called us every day to come and get her”, Dinah’s mother told RTL.
Despite an organized confrontation between Dinah and her stalkers, the young girl’s ordeal continues. She even obtains her patent, with a very good mention. By attending another high school in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin), she hopes to no longer meet her harassers, but they meet again in the canteen, which is common to several establishments in the area. The prosecution opened an investigation into the harassment, in order to establish a link with the suicide. Dinah’s family now want to file a complaint against X and against the college.
