Two weeks after the spectacular landslide in Pierreville, in Centre-du-Québec, the ground continues to move and repair work has still not begun, much to the disappointment of farmers.

Transporting corn crops has become a real headache for three Pierreville farmers. The landslide that occurred on 1er November prevents them from transporting their crops.
“We will pass on their land, but for whom is to transport the corn, we will pass over the bridge at Notre-Dame while respecting the charges”, explained the mayor of Pierreville André Descôteaux.
On Tuesday the Ministry of Transport was busy conducting soil tests near the huge crater.
“First ensure the safety of the whole rank. Then, they are also looking at what could be done for the two residences that are still evacuated at this time,” explained Sylvain Gallant, regional director of civil security for Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec. .
The situation is under surveillance while the municipality must carry out verifications and take photos three times a day.
Since 1er November, more than three meters of plots of land also slipped into the river.
The municipality will meet with the Ministère des Transports on November 16 to take stock of the next steps in the file.
