She has just released her latest album ‘Iota’, this November 11th. On this occasion, Brut. spent a day in Brussels with Lous and the Yakuza, where the singer presents her favorite places.
“Each time we listen to a piece, it’s never really the whole story, you’re going to have a little bit, a fragment… an iota.“This is the premise from which Lous and the Yakuza starts for his latest album, “Iota”, released this November 11, 2022. “I’m talking about love, several forms of love, and what’s left of it, especially”, explains the singer. For Brut., she decided to show these favorite places in Brussels, and to come back on her journey.
In the Belgian capital, his favorite bar and café is the Flora, on the parvis of Saint-Gilles. “It is the most peaceful place in which I come to squat. I come to write in my little notebook of thoughts, and the notebook of thoughts is really when I have strong thoughts or intrusive thoughts, but they are very often philosophical thoughts. It’s really the philosophy. Me, if I can ask myself from morning to night on ‘Who am I? Where am I going?’, I would do this for hours.”
The opportunity to look back on her journey and what she has experienced. “Today, I am very fulfilled with my career, very fulfilled with where I am. I am grateful, extremely grateful for all that I have and all that I can do, which is to say that the last time I did this interview, a few months before, I was still homeless , I was homeless, and today… Today, we are going to shoot in my library.
