Cannes raises awareness of lifesaving actions against cardiac arrest

More than 90% of cardiac arrests are fatal when there is no treatment. Based on this terrible observation, the town hall of Cannes, the firefighters and the Rotary Cannes Pays de Lérins are organizing a day of awareness of life-saving gestures this Tuesday at the ferry terminal. Objective: to train people in cardiac massage, as well as in the use of defibrillators, the idea being to take care of the victim as best as possible while waiting for the arrival of help.

101 defibrillators soon available throughout the city of Cannes

The city is indeed well supplied with automatic and semi-automatic defibrillators, it continues to install them, it is still necessary to know how to use them in an emergency. Mastering cardiac massage – and in particular the famous rhythm based on the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive song – is also essential.

Meet at the ferry terminal from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Tuesday, November 15.
