Monday, November 14, the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, is the guest of “4 Truths” on France 2. He first looks at the record dividends of the CAC 40 for 2021: “It shows that the distribution of wealth in this country is problematic.“In this very difficult period, when many people are going to have a difficult winter, it would be normal for there to be an exceptional tax on very high incomes, and for the people who receive these dividends to be contributors”adds Laurent Berger.
The union’s position on pension reform has not changed. “The CFDT is opposed to the postponement of the legal retirement age”recalls Laurent Berger. The general secretary of the CFDT then returns to the fact that interprofessional strike days are little followed in French society: “We are in a period of worry and uncertainty which makes people a little on their guard.“
