Sunday lunches are often conducive to family gatherings. The parents of Justine Vayrac surely expected to find their daughter and their grandson Gabin the day after Justine left in a nightclub in Brive-la-Gaillarde. They will never see her again. On the night of October 22 to 23, the 20-year-old young woman crossed paths with Lucas L, an acquaintance who had already crossed paths in the past. Beginning to feel bad, Justine Vayrac warned the friends she was with before one of them, Theo, entrusted her to Lucas L. without suspecting what would happen a few hours later. After having remained without news, the relatives warn the police who arrest Lucas L., the last person to have seen Justine Vayrac alive.
After long hearings, Lucas L., 21, ended up confessing to having killed and then buried the body of the young woman not far from the farm where he works. If the autopsy revealed that several blows were given to the victim before she was strangled, no element was communicated as to the fact that she was drugged during the evening despite the testimonies of friends of the young woman, convinced of the presence of a substance in her drink.
If the entourage of Lucas L. would never have imagined him capable of such a thing, some people who have already rubbed shoulders with him evoke an individual who is sometimes out of control and violent. A friend of hers recently testified in seven to eightrevealing a very dark side of this football fan: “He is someone who finds it difficult to manage his emotions when he is told no. When he plays football when he loses a match, he can get angry until he beat up players from the opposing team.” Version corroborated by new testimonies collected by The New Detective of November 9.
Lucas L. hates losing and “does not admit defeat“, we learn. Excesses of anger therefore do not seem exaggerated when his relatives call him a man “surly” and “brawler“Beyond this lackluster aspect, they specify the bad habits of Lucas L. behind the wheel: “He often drove drunk, and always fast. He folded several cars before having [la sienne].” Details that say a lot about the profile of the main suspect in the case.
Lucas L. remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the case is finally closed.
