The ADISQ Gala is a bit like your family parties. There are cousins who argue, mononcles who make embarrassing jokes and mothers-in-law who exaggerate about makeup.

However, it is often on these discomforts that the most beautiful memories are built.
Here are four moments from the ADISQ Gala that still have you talking.
“I can’t accept that trophy” — Céline Dion
Celine Dion’s appearance at the 1990 ADISQ Gala has become a classic on Quebec television.
Charlemagne’s diva, who won the award for English-speaking artist of the year for the album Union, his first in the language of Shakespeare, had refused his trophy live on television.
“I am proud to tell the whole world that I am Quebecer,” the 22-year-old singer said at the time.
The following year, the ADISQ changed the name of the category to “Quebec artist who has distinguished himself the most in a language other than French”.
Isabelle Boulay’s lesson in humility
Isabelle Boulay made a remarkable entrance at the Gala de l’ADISQ in 2005. The one who had won the prize for the most famous Quebec artist outside Quebec received several thanks before going to accept her Félix on stage.
Corneille, who was also nominated in the category, took the opportunity to give him a kiss.
It was only on stage that she realized she had a foundation stain on her nose. It was the laughter of the spectators who put the flea in his ear.
“It’s a great lesson in humility,” she said after Corneille had cleaned her face.
Guy A. Lepage launches a Félix and insults Richard Desjardins
Audiences love Guy A. Lepage’s outspokenness. However, this honesty plunged him into controversy in 2004, when he hosted the Gala de l’ADISQ.
Singer-songwriter Richard Desjardins received three awards, namely Best Show, Best Popular Album and Songwriter of the Year for his album Kanasuta. The latter, however, was conspicuous by his absence because he was caught in the Gaspé.
In a gesture of frustration, Guy A. Lepage threw one of these trophies backstage.
“Ben Richard, I’m going to take care of this trophy the same way you would take care of it,” he said.
In the days that followed, the poet and singer had responded by saying that he had offered to intervene live in the gala, through a satellite. He would then have been told that no camera was available.
Guy A. Lepage later apologized. This will be his last animation of this gala.

Hubert Lenoir knows how to make the public react. This was the case during his appearance at the 2018 ADISQ Gala, where he won the Félix for revelation of the year and pop song of the year.
The latter then shoved one of his trophies down his throat in response to a joke from host Louis-José Houde about their safety.

The terrible child of Quebec music, however, had not finished playing with his trophies: he used one of his Félix won on November 3 to drink with friends.
