Death of his brother Aaron | Nick Carter in tears during a Backstreet Boys concert

Barely 24 hours after the death of his brother Aaron, Nick Carter took the stage on Sunday night in London with the Backstreet Boys. But when his colleague Kevin Richardson paid tribute to the 34-year-old singer, who was found dead at his home on Saturday, the singer burst into tears, supported by the other members of the group.

The images of Nick Carter in tears, captured by the fans, we go around social networks.

The group had just dedicated the song No Seat, which is a “song about the family”, to the one who had, among other things, provided their first part in 1997, when he was only 10 years old. “Tonight we have a heavy heart, because we lost a member of ours yesterday. Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter, died yesterday. He is part of our family. We thank you for all your love, positive messages and all your support,” said Kevin, who is the oldest of the Backstreet Boys.

Hours earlier on Sunday, Nick Carter opened up on Instagram about the death of his younger brother. ” My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I had a complicated relationship, my love for him never faded,” he wrote.

“I always held out hope that he would one day find a healthy path and finally the help he so desperately needed. »

Aaron Carter was living with addiction issues. The exact causes of his death are still unknown.

“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for our loss, but the truth is, addiction and mental health are the real bad guys here,” Carter wrote. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can find the peace you never found on Earth. I love you little brother. »
