Jimmy Kimmel will once again host the Oscars, completing a trilogy that began with the chaotic ceremony where the wrong envelope was read during the best picture presentation.

The late-night talk show host will host the ceremony in March, the show’s producers announced Monday.
Producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner said they were thrilled with Kimmel’s return, saying he’s sure to be “funny and up for anything.”
Jimmy Kimmel has hosted the show twice, including in 2017, when Bad Feature was crowned Best Picture. The following year, the ceremony was held a few months after the outbreak of the #metoo (#me too) movement.
In a statement, the host said it was a “great honor or a trap”. He thanked the academy for asking him “so quickly after everyone said no”.

Molly McNearney, co-writer and producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live! who is married to Kimmel, will also serve as broadcast producer for the Oscars.
