(New York) Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk was suspended for two games by the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Sunday.

Tkachuk is suspended for hitting Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick with a high stick on Saturday night.
The incident occurred with just 38 seconds remaining in the third period of a 5-4 Kings victory. Tkachuk hit Quick in the head after the goaltender made a save and grabbed the puck.
Tkachuk will miss Sunday’s Panthers game against the Anaheim Ducks and the one against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night.
