(Montreal) A man in his thirties is fighting for his life after being stabbed in an altercation that escalated in Montreal’s Chinatown on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of rue Clark and rue de La Gauchetière Ouest, in the borough of Ville-Marie.
According to preliminary information from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the man was injured at least once in the upper body by a knife.
He was allegedly hit during a conflict involving “several suspects”, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the SPVM.
The police public relations officer was to go to the scene of the event in order to provide more details on the circumstances which led to this outcome.
Another man had been stabbed on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Montreal, in the borough of Outremont.
